Detail: [Boarding/Robbery Attempt] During routine rounds duty AB on Marshall Islands-flagged bulk carrier found three lube oil drums on deck and suspecting something amiss, informed the OOW who alerted the Master and Chief Engineer. An investigation was carried out at 2200 UTC in position 22:10N- 091:42E, Chittagong B Anchorage, Bangladesh. The shore watchmen admitted to having drained the lube oil from the anchor windlass feed tank into the drums. Local agents informed. Reported (IMB) 26 Jan.

Detail: [Boarding/Robbery] LATE Report | Three robbers in a fishing boat boarded Tuvalu-flagged tanker, Ocean 1, under tow by tug ASL Scorpio at 1245 LT in position 21:12.7N – 072:12.8E, 173 Along, 11nm off Gujarat, India. Crew immediately reported the boarding to the local authorities. The Indian Coast Guard Station Pipavav requested the Marine Police to investigate the incident. On 11 Jan, the Police reported that they had arrested the three robbers and recovered the stolen items comprising stores and spares. Reported (ReCAAP) 7 Jan.

Detail: [Boarding] LATE Report | Anchored Singapore-flagged product tanker duty watch spotted five robbers boarding the ship from the stern at 0558 LT in position 01:33.01N – 104:47E, 22.8nm NE of Pulau Berakit, Indonesia. Upon sighting the robbers, the general alarm was raised and the crew proceeded to the citadel. A search was later conducted, and the robbers had escaped. No items were stolen. Reported (ReCAAP) 4 Jan.
